On the other hand, the price of Ether today was trading at $2,665.99 at the time of writing this article, according to data from the same site. This has decreased by as much as 2.96 percent in the past 24 hours. The world’s second most popular coin lost much of its value on Friday. In the past seven days, the price of Ether has fallen by about 5.85 percent, according to the data.

“Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) results and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s press briefing gave a slight boost to the cryptocurrency market as the committee decided to raise interest rates by 50 basis points and set plans to cool inflation,” BuyUcoin CEO Shivam Thakral said on Thursday. The crypto was short-lived and the cryptocurrency market fell again after sellers returned to the market.

The value of the global cryptocurrency market declined by 2.05 percent in the past 24 hours to reach $1.64 trillion. Memecoins including Dogecoin and Shiba Inu also fell on Saturday as well. Today, the Dogecoin price settled at $0.1274, down 1.08 percent. Meanwhile, today’s Shiba Inu price was at $0.0001977, down 2.37 percent.
