As a bowler, you have to believe you can get wickets and not think about running as much.” I’m really enjoying it so far.”
However, Sreesanth’s Bangla Tigers didn’t have the best start to their season, losing three of their first four matches.
“As a bowling unit we have to be more consistent. We have 3 more matches and we have to win matches well so our NRR is boosted as well. We have a little break and we’ll work things out. In a short tournament it’s all about fading together. It’s just a matter of another win, we’ve got a great team.” And if players like Evin Lewis and Colin Monroe continue, nothing like that.”
Sreesanth, who has been at the center of many intense white ball competitions, believes T10 can also help players claim national teams and franchises in other formats of the game.
“Any format you play in can be very beneficial. The best part about T10 is the high speed and this platform allows you to show your skills in front of the well known franchises and coaches in the game. Every match is different and if I am an existing player I will strive to give my best at every opportunity.”
“It is very important to set the standard whether you are a new player or an established cricketer so that it helps to get attention for the big leagues.”
Talking about being in the same camp with his arch-rival Pakistan Muhammad Amir, the Bengal Tigers mentor said that they both hit it off pretty well.
“Yes, it is fun and I am really grateful to be working with so many of the best players in the world during the Abu Dhabi T10. At the end of the day our focus is on supporting ourselves and doing well for the team. As bowlers it doesn’t matter who is the batsman but we have to support ourselves to get on the wicket”.
