Cheteshwar Pujara has recently been added to India squad for the tour of Bangladesh ahead of the two-match Test series. Pujara is expected to feature in the second four-day match against Bangladesh. The Tour is scheduled to play next month. The Gujarat-born batsman has started his preparations for the practice match against Bangladesh.

On Friday, Pujara shared a video of his training. In the footage, he can be seen hitting and playing some accurate shots during the practice session. “Some practices before we head to Bangladesh,” the caption read.

In international cricket, Pujara was last seen in action earlier this year in July during the Fifth Test against England in Birmingham. Later, Pujara was dropped from the Test squad due to his poor form.

Pujara decided to appear in English cricket in order to right mistakes and regain his form. The decision did not come to fruition. Pujara enjoyed a thrilling county campaign with Sussex scoring 1,094 runs at an average of 109.40 after only 13 runs in Division Two of the County Championship. He has also achieved eight centuries and three double hundreds for Sussex across the formats.

In the international circuit, the 34-year-old has played 96 Test matches for India so far and has scored 6,792 runs at an average of 43. 81. Pujara has 18 centuries and 33 half-centuries under his belt in the longest form of his game.

Pujara is now ready to play for India A ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. A strong showing in the practice match is sure to help the veteran India scenario his return to the Test squad.

The first test match between India and Bangladesh will start on December 14 at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The second and final exam is scheduled to take place in Dhaka.
