The Chhello Show, India’s official entry to the 95th Academy Awards, is heading to Netflix on November 25. And directed by Pan Nalin (Beyond The Known World), the film was nominated and screened at prestigious film festivals around the world such as Tribeca and Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival, among others. Best Film, this weekend, at the Asia World Film Festival in Los Angeles, and it will be available in Hindi too, in more than Netflix.
last movie show (Chhello show) is a part biographical drama that captures the charm of the western region of Gujarat while paying homage to the cinema of the past. It’s a reminder of the innocence of childhood and the universal magic of movies. The film stars Bhavin Rabari, Vikas Bata, Richa Meena, Bhavish Shrimali, Deepin Raval and Rahul Kohli.
The story is set against the backdrop of cinemas in India undergoing a massive transition from celluloid to digital, with hundreds of single-screen cinemas standing dilapidated or gone altogether. When the magic of movies conquers the heart of little nine-year-old Samay, he moves through heaven and earth in pursuit of his 35mm dreams, unaware of the heartbreaking times that lie ahead.
Director Nalin said, “Last Film Show is a celebration of movies, food, friends and family, and now audiences across India can do exactly that from their homes while watching it. As a filmmaker, I dream that the film will reach maximum number of people and now, thanks to Netflix, it is Last Film Show is just a click away.”

Last month, with tickets costing just Rs. 95.
