Chup OTT Release Date: Directed by R Balki to stream on ZEE5 on November 25th

Filmmaker R Balki’s Chup: Revenge of the Artist will premiere on OTT on Zee5 on November 25, the broadcast announced on Saturday.

Starring Sunny Deol, Dilkar Salmaan and Shreya Dhanwanthari, the film tells the story of a psychopathic killer who is targeted by film critics. The film received mixed reviews from critics when it was released in theaters on September 23.

Balky said Chopbilled as a tribute to filmmaker Guru Dutt and his 1959 classic Kagaz Ke Beanis a film shot about the artist’s sensibility.

“Chub is a story that examines the insensitivity of an artist’s work as well as the dysfunction in the artist’s reaction to such criticism,” the director said in a statement. “It is a film about the dangerous consequences of a miscarriage of responsibility for power.”

With a world digital premiere on Zee5, the film will be available to viewers in five languages ​​- Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Another highly anticipated movie on Zee5 is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar Insurance Indiawhich is scheduled to be launched on the OTT platform on December 2.

India Lockdown weaves together four parallel stories, about an elderly father desperate to reach his pregnant daughter, a pilot stuck at home, a feisty, unemployed sex worker, and an immigrant couple returning home to their village. The film highlights the traumas and travails experienced by the general public during the first post-COVID-19 lockdown.

The movie was shot in February and March of 2021, right before the deadly COVID-19 delta wave hits the country.

India Lockdown, starring Prateik Babir, Sai Tamhankar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Ahana Kumra, Satvik Bhatia and Prakash Belwadi, will premiere on November 21 at the International Film Festival of India in Goa.
