Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that Manchester United has not improved after the departure of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson from the club. Manchester United have not had a league title since Ferguson’s departure from the club and their record in European competitions has been below average with only one Europa League title in the post-Ferguson era.

Ronaldo returned to Manchester United last year and ended up as top scorer for the season with 24 goals in all competitions, but the Red Devils finished sixth in the Premier League points table and went on to have a trophyless season.

The club signed Erik ten Hag to manage the team and bring back the club’s glory days. Ten Hag has already started his operation but it seems Ronaldo is not a very big part of his plans. The 37-year-old hasn’t been at his best this season, and as a result the manager has benched him for several big matches.

Ronaldo criticized the club and said there are some things that prevent them from reaching the level of Manchester City and Liverpool.

“Since Sir Alex left, I haven’t seen any development in the club. Nothing has changed,” Ronaldo said in an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored TV.

“I want the best for the club. That’s why I came to Manchester United. But you have some things that don’t help us get to the top level like (Manchester) City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal… a club this far should be at the top of the tree in my opinion and they are not unfortunately .”

The 37-year-old said the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as caretaker manager last season was a surprising decision for him.

“For example we have an interesting point, how does a club like Manchester United then [they] Primary cyst [Gunnar Solskjaer]They buy – they bring in sporting director Ralf Rangnick, which nobody understands. This guy isn’t even a coach.

“A bigger club like Manchester United brings him [a] Sporting Director – surprised not only me but the whole world, you know.”

He further pointed out the things that have not changed in the club because he still sees a lot of things that were present in the club during his first period.

“Nothing has changed. Surprisingly. Not only the pool, the jacuzzi, even the gym… Even some points, the technology, the kitchen, the chefs and, I appreciate, lovely people.”

They stopped at a time that surprised me a lot. I thought I would see different things… different, like I mentioned before, technology and infrastructure. But, unfortunately, we see a lot of things that I used to see when I was 20, 21, 23 years old. So, that surprised me a lot.”
