The three-match ODI series against India and Bangladesh has set many records. The opening two matches of the series were won by Bangladesh, so the final match was not going to make any difference to the series, but India set a mountain of 409 runs and set several records that made the match memorable. Especially Ishan Kishan, who made a double century, not only rained runs on the field but also rained a record for himself.

As for today’s match, India secured a historic 227-run victory over Bangladesh. This is the third biggest win for an Indian team in ODI cricket. India had previously won by 257 runs against Bermuda in 2007, and then beat Hong Kong by 256 runs.

However, Bangladesh did not get off to a good start chasing the target of 410 runs set by the Indian team. The first wicket of the team fell in the form of Inamul Haq who scored only 8 runs. Captain Laton Das returned to the pavilion after scoring 29 runs. Shakib Al Hasan top scored for Bangladesh with 43 runs. Yasir Ali scored 25 runs, Afif Hussain 8 runs, Mehdi Hasan 3 runs, Ibadat Hussain 2 runs and Mustafizur Rehman scored 13 runs. Tasin Ahmed remained not out scoring 17 runs. The whole team of Bangladesh collapsed on the score of 182 runs in 34 overs.

As far as India’s bowling is concerned, Shardal Thakur took the highest 3 wickets with 30 runs in 5 overs. Akshar Patel and Imran Malik took 2 wickets each. Mohammad Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar got 1 wicket each. That is, all the bowlers from India contributed in winding up the Bangladeshi team.

Earlier, while batting, India scored 409 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan played a historic innings of 210 runs. He hit 24 fours and 10 sixes while facing 131 balls. Virat Kohli scored 113 runs off 91 balls and is now second only to Sachin Tendulkar for the most centuries in international cricket. He has scored 73 international centuries so far and surpassed Ricky Ponting who scored 72 international centuries. Washington Sundar (37 runs) and Akshar Patel (20 runs) also scored some important runs in the end for the Indian team.

It is noteworthy that Ishan Kishan had not scored a century in an ODI match till now, and by playing an innings of 210 runs, he has taken many records together. The most important record is that he has become the fastest player to score 150 runs and 200 runs in ODI cricket. He scored a double century off 126 balls to surpass West Indies storm batsman Chris Gayle who scored a double century off 138 balls.

Along with this, Ishan Kishan has become the sixth highest scorer in ODI cricket. Only Rohit Sharma (264 runs), Martin Guptill (237 runs not out), Virender Sehwag (219 runs), Chris Gayle (215 runs) and Fakhar Zaman (210 runs not out) have scored more. Not only this, Ishan Kishan has also now become the highest run-scorer for an Indian batsman in an ODI against Bangladesh. Before him, this record was held by Virender Sehwag who scored 175 runs. Ishan Kishan hit 10 sixes during his innings of 210 runs, the most sixes in an innings by any Indian batsman in an ODI against Bangladesh.
