Infinix Hot 20 5G and Hot 20 Play launched in India. The new budget-friendly smartphones from the Chinese-owned brand, Transsion Holdings, are powered by MediaTek’s SoCs and feature impressive specs such as a large battery, dual rear camera setup, expandable RAM, and onboard storage. Infinix Hot 20 5G has a 50MP dual rear camera setup, while the Hot 20 Play has a 13MP dual rear camera module. The former has a waterdrop-shaped display while the latter has a punch-hole cutout on the front to house the selfie camera. Infinix HOT 20 5G has already been launched in some regions before making its way to the Indian market.

The screen has a waterdrop-shaped notch that accommodates the selfie shooter. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. With Infinix’s Memfusion RAM feature, available memory can be expanded up to 7GB using the extra unused storage space. For thermal management while gaming, the smartphone has Bionic Breathing cooling technology, which is claimed to reduce chipset temperature by up to 5 degrees within 2 minutes.
The Infinix Hot 20 5G has an AI dual rear camera with dual LED flash. The camera module is driven by a 50 MP primary sensor. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a single LED flash. It has 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 1TB).
Connectivity options on the smartphone include OTG, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. It comes with an ambient light sensor, electronic compass, G-sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Further, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.
Infinix has packed a 5,000mAh battery in the Infinix Hot 20 5G. It also supports 18W fast charging. The battery is claimed to provide up to 125 hours of music playback time and 11 hours of gaming on a single charge. It measures 76.45 x 166.25 x 8.9 mm and weighs 204 grams.

The dual SIM Infinix Hot 20 Play also runs XOS 10.6 running Android 12 and has a 6.82-inch full-HD+ (720 x 1,640 pixels) IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. The screen provides a peak brightness of 500 nits. It is powered by the 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 SoC with DarLink 2.0 engine and up to 4GB of RAM. It comes with Erdal Engine 3.0. The physically available RAM can also be expanded up to 7 GB.
Infinix Hot 20 Play has two rear cameras led by a 13MP primary sensor and Quad LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP selfie sensor arranged in a punch-hole cutout on the screen. It offers 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB.
