Moin Ali, founder of All England, has expressed concern about David Malan’s availability for T20 Globalism Cup semi-final match against India Thursday. Malan sustained a thigh injury during England’s match against Sri Lanka Super 12. He felt a little uncomfortable during the first rounds and did not come out on the racket as England beat Sri Lanka by four wickets to book a place in the semi-finals where they will now face the top of Group B – India.

However, Ali noted that things are not looking good for Malan and hinted that he may miss the semi-final match.
“He’s been one of our best players for a number of years. I don’t know but honestly with you, it doesn’t look great. He went for tests yesterday and when he arrived we don’t really know much but it doesn’t look great,” Moin Ali told the BBC.
The multi-level player also suggested that England enter the match as an underdog as India played the dominant game of cricket last year.
“England are the underdogs. India have played really well over the last year and even if you look at the tournament they are playing really well. I don’t think we have to be honest, we are a little late,” added Moin Ali.

From Group A, New Zealand qualified for the semi-finals on the basis of group lead and also ahead of second-placed England in net run rate. India entered the semi-finals with four wins out of five matches in the Super 12 stage. They won close matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh while losing to South Africa. Pakistan finished second in Group B after beating Bangladesh on the last day of the Super 12 matches.
International cricket The ICC announced on Monday that Kumar Dharmasina and Paul Revell will be field referees for the second semi-final between India and England. Chris Gavani will be the third official, Rod Tucker will be the fourth official, and David Boone will be the match official.
