Korea’s World Cup journey ends after Ghana, Brazil and Portugal win

In the FIFA World Cup, Portugal’s Fernandez scored two goals in the second half, Brazil’s Casamiro and Ghana’s Mohamed Quddus scored two goals, and all three teams won their respective matches. Portugal and Brazil have booked their places in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, while Ghana will be decided after the next group matches.

In a spectacular match played late at night, the team of Portugal defeated its rival Uruguay by two goals to zero. Both goals came in the second half and both were scored by Fernandez for Portugal. Meanwhile, the match between Brazil and Switzerland was a close match and at the end of the match, Brazil’s Casamiro scored a goal and won his team.

On the other hand, the match played between Ghana and South Korea was full of ups and downs and both the teams played brilliantly. Mohamed Quddus scored twice as Ghana crashed out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a 3-2 win over South Korea in a Group H thriller.

In the match played at the Education City Stadium, Muhammad Seliso (24th) and Quddus (34th, 68th minute) scored goals for the winning team. Both Korea’s goals were scored by Cho Go-sung (58th minute, 61st minute).

After going 2-0 down in the first half, Korea got back into the match thanks to a goal from Gyu-sung, but Quddus’ goal gave Ghana the lead once again. Korea then made several attempts to level the scores but Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Atezighi denied them even once and secured a valuable three points for his team.

In a do-or-die match, Korea started well but Salisu gave Ghana an early lead. In the 23rd minute of the match, Salisu took a pass from Jordan Ayew and made it to the goal. In the 34th minute of the match, Jordan passed to Quddus and Ghana doubled their lead.

Gio-Song brought Korea back into the match after going down 2-0 in the first half. In the 57th minute, he headed in Ghana’s goal from Lee Kang’s cross. Five minutes later, he repeated the feat with a cross from Jin-soo to level the score at 2-2.

In the space of six minutes, Korea scored two offensive goals but the Saints came to Ghana’s rescue once again. In the 67th minute of the match, Anaki Willems failed to kick a cross from the left side, after which the Quds beat the Korean defense and put the ball into the net.

In the last 20 minutes of the match, Korea went on the offensive but Utzigi defended the goal post brilliantly and Korea lost by one goal.
