Brazil kicked off FIFA Globalism 2022 Cup trip with a convincing victory over Serbia on Friday. A low point for the five-time World Cup winners at the end of the game was the injury of their star player, Neymar. The Paris Saint-Germain forward has regained his fitness and has vowed to return to the FIFA World Cup finals as soon as possible.
“The pride and love I feel for wearing the jersey is inexplicable. If God gave me the opportunity to choose a country I was born in, it would be Brazil. Nothing in my life has been achieved or easy, I always had to chase my dreams and goals. You wish no evil on anyone except by helping those in need. Today It became one of the hardest moments in my career… And again the World Cup. I have an injury, yeah, it’s boring, it’s going to hurt but I’m sure I’ll have a chance to come back because I’ll do everything I can to help my country, my teammates and myself. Long time to wait for the enemy To throw me like this? Never! And Neymar wrote on Instagram, “I am the son of the impossible god, and my faith has no end.”
Neymar suffered an injury to his right ankle during the match against Serbia and left the field in the 80th minute. Even the former Barcelona striker was seen crying on the Brazilian bench after he was substituted. There is no official word yet on the severity of the injury, but it is widely reported that Brazil fans can expect to see Neymar in the last 11 knockout.
Neymar has already become the most fouled player this edition of the FIFA World Cup with nine fouls committed against him, despite only playing 79 minutes.
Neymar was also seriously injured before the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The 30-year-old had to leave the field after he was brutally tackled by Colombia’s Juan Zuniga during the quarter-final match.
Striker Richarlison scored twice in the opening match of the World Cup to earn the full three points for his team against Serbia. After winning their opening match, the Selecao will face Switzerland on Monday at Stade 974 in Doha.
