The shocking defeat of South Africa kept Pakistan alive in the T20 World Cup.

The team led by Babar Azam got a golden opportunity to qualify for the semi-finals and happily embraced it. Pakistan, in their last Super 12 match, beat Bangladesh to confirm their place in the semi-finals.

Bangladesh inaugural star Hussain Shanto played a decisive kick from 54 of 48 deliveries to lead his team to a total of 127. For Pakistan, their superstar Shaheen Afridi climbed four wickets to limit Bangladesh to an achievable total.
