New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sora Bhaskar recently participated in the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ of the Indian National Congress. He was widely praised for his move, but was also criticized by a group and trolled on social media. In an interview given to ‘Times of India’, the actress explained why she joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that the way the atmosphere of hatred and violence has been created in the country, ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is the best means of resistance against it. Also, the slogan of the Bharat Jodo Yatra is ‘Stop Hate, Join India’.

Sora Bhaskar said, “There is no secret behind Rahul Gandhi joining the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.” It is in front of everyone that the political and public culture in India is being destroyed in the last 8 years. Hate and violence are becoming commonplace on the streets. Rather, it is being accepted. I am concerned about the way society is being agitated. The way the media has supported bigotry and hatred is also alarming. When I heard about the Bharat Jodo Yatra and saw it, I knew that this Yatra was raising all the issues. Apart from hatred and violence, the problem of the poor economy is also being raised in the pilgrimage.

It should be noted that Sourabhaskar is often trolled and constantly criticized for his bold opinions. However, the actress said that it affects her work as well. Sourabhaskar said that she has been bearing all this for the past 8 years. People in power call him many names and try to defame him. He said that the fear that the country is in the grip of, its effect is clearly visible on Bollywood as well.

Sourabhaskar said that he loves his work the most but he has deliberately taken this risk, which is why he is not getting work now. The actress said that she is not getting as much work as she should. Sora said, “I am a much better actress than the opportunities that I have got. I’ve never been given a bad review.”

Sora said that his career track record has been good. She has been a part of 6-7 blockbuster movies and lead in web series. The actress says that she should not feel like this, but it seems and it is true that ‘I am not getting as much work as I should have.’
