The India The T20I team came back empty-handed from the World Cup in Australia after losing to England in the semi-final but Hardik Pandya says they have to deal with the disappointment and move on while righting the wrongs.

While Pandya admitted that work on building the team for the upcoming final event begins now, he feels there is still plenty of time to do so. One of the key decisions will be relieving a group of seniors including current captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin and more.

“The roadmap starts now. But it is very fresh at the moment. We have plenty of time so we will sit down and have talks on that basis,” Pandya said.

While the next big tournament in white-ball cricket is next year’s ODI World Cup, this does not diminish the importance of the T20I series in Pandya’s eyes.
“Every series is important. You can’t play an international game and think it’s not important. Yes, the World Cup is there but that’s a different format, it’s 50 overs.
