The Netherlands recorded one of their biggest wins in world cricket. Sending it off to bat, the Dutch rode a first-class team effort to score 158 for 4. Colin Ackermann scored the highest goals with 26 unbeaten 41 balls, while Tom Cooper made 35 of 19 balls. In response, Dutch bowlers rose to the occasion and cornered South Africa at 145 to 8 with Brandon Glover (3/9) scooping three players.
The Proteas team was surprised by the defeat while the cricket fraternity was stunned by the Netherlands match. Players such as Saatchi Tendulkar and Virender Siehwag praised the Dutch for expelling South Africa while former Pakistan captain Waseem Akram expressed his best wishes to Babar Azam & Co. in the match against Bangladesh.
