“Suriyakumar Yadav is a player who will revolutionize Indian T20 cricket. You will have to find more multi-dimensional players like him, just like the England team, which is full of all players up to No. 9 or No. 10,” Bangar told Star Sports.

England will face Pakistan in T20 Globalism Cup final in the MCG after defeating India by 10 wickets in the semi-finals, as captain Joss Butler and Alex Hals mocked Indian bowling, scoring in their 80s.

The former coach felt Suryakumar’s ability to play shots all over the park would inspire more cricketers and India would soon see more players with these qualities.

“Players who can target both sides of the wicket with their shots, can play knockouts, reverse sweeps and find funky pockets, I feel these guys will get more encouragement. How many options he has, he plays all kinds of shots. He is an inspiration, you will see More players playing this way in the future,” Bangar added.

The 50-year-old added that Suryakumar has turned into an “all-around racket” and praised him for his performances under pressure in outdoor conditions.

“He has become a quite all-round hitter. There was a time when Suryakumar Yadav was known for playing shots only on beautiful leg. Now his range has increased, and his stature has increased.”

“The special thing is that in pressure situations, whether it’s Australian or English conditions, which are the hardest hits, he went there and in his first round itself, he made his mark,” he added.
