The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry announces the four-team Women’s T20 Challenge Cup squads and match schedule

Bowler Poonam Yadav, all-rounder fast bowler Dipti Sharma, fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar and fast bowler Sunny Rana were named on Thursday as captains for the four-team women’s T20 trophy. It will be held from November 20 to 26 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur.

India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandana and left fielder Radha Yadav have rested from the tournament which will be played in a league format with 14 players in each of the four squads announced by the All India Women’s Selection Committee. .

While Poonam will captain India Next to Harleen Deol as her vice-captain, Deepti will be the captain of the India B team with Shafali Verma as the vice-captain. Pooja will captain the India C team with Sabbhineni Meghana as vice-captain, while Sneh will captain the India D team with Jemimah Rodrigues as vice-captain.

Interestingly, all four teams have left armers in their squad for the T20 Challenger Trophy – Anjali Sarvani of Railways in Team A, India and Karnataka pacer Monica Patel in the B side, Komal Zanzad of Vidarbha in Team C and Shraddha of Maharashtra Pokharkar in the side D – Trying to identify people who can add more variety to their bowling attack at the international level.
