The famous king Sultan Mahmud of Ghaznavi, may God bless him and grant him peace, was a great scholar of religion and was devoted to fasting and prayer, and used to recite the Holy Quran regularly. Ayaz thought that perhaps the king was angry today, so he did not call my son by name. Did my son commit a mistake today that you left his name and called him Ibn Ayaz? Hazrat Mahmud Ghaznavi said: I do not take your son’s name without ablution for the sake of honoring the name of Muhammad. He was without ablution, so it was not considered appropriate to put the word Muhammad on his lips without ablution.

When he died, the people dragged him by his legs and threw him on a pile of dirt, Allah Almighty revealed to Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) to go and perform his funeral prayer, he said: O Allah Almighty! The children of Israel say that he has been disobeying you for two hundred years. Allah Almighty said: He was like that, but when he opened the Torah and saw the name of Muhammad, he saw it. He used to kiss his eyes and recite blessings on them, so I accepted his act and forgave his sins and married him to seventy heavenly women.
