The easy hack for making mashed potatoes without peeling them was shared by popular blogger Laura McLaughlin aka lorafied. The video went viral, receiving over a million views on Instagram Reels along with over 27k likes. “Hack mashed potatoes! Don’t peel! Don’t cut,” the blogger wrote in the caption.

The viral video showed how she mashed up Potato It can be prepared in a hassle free manner. First, the potatoes were boiled directly with their skins on. Cook them and leave them aside to cool down a bit. Now, Laura McLaughlin suggested taking a bowl and putting a baking rack on top of it. You can also use a grill rack for this. Then you cut the potato in half and put it on the metal rack and push it from the top. This simple act of pushing got the metal rack separating the potato skins from the inside. Thus, the resulting potatoes were transferred directly to the bowl without much effort – resulting in quick and easy potato mashing without peeling or chopping!

The easy hack for making mashed potatoes won over Instagram users. Many said this was a very time saver especially since Potato It wasn’t necessary to peel it off. “This is unbelievable.
