Commonwealth Games 2022:

India’s performance at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in August was outstanding. Indian athletes won a total of 61 medals, including 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze, despite no shooting competition at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Thus, India stood fourth in the medal tally. India also won a medal in lawn ball for the first time in this Commonwealth Games.

Nikhat Zareen wins gold medal in World Boxing Championship:

2022 has been a wonderful year for Nikhat Zarin. She captured the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship by defeating Thailand’s Tokyo Olympian Jatpang Jatams 0-5 in the final.
