Comfortable victory for the Tamil Thalivas against the Bengal Warriors

With the help of Narender’s heroics, the Tamil Thalaivas secured a comfortable victory over the Bengal Warriors in Season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium here on Monday.

Tamil Thalaivas took the lead at the end of the first half and maintained that lead even though Bengal Warriors put up a tough fight in the second half and eventually emerged victorious 35-30 at the end.

Narinder picked up a few runs as the Tamil Nadu Thalivas took a 5-3 lead in the fourth minute. However, the Warriors dealt with Narinder soon after and stayed in the match at 5-7.

Ajinkya Pawar has stepped up his game and reduced the two warriors to just three members on the mat. Deepak Hooda found it hard to break down the Thalavas defense as Tamil Nadu took a 10-5 lead in the 11th minute.

But, Balaji D and Manoj Gowda executed superior tackles to avoid everything and reduce the gap between the two sides. Moments later, Gowda made an impressive raid as the Warriors came within striking distance of Thalaivas’ score at 10-11.

However, Tamil Nadu picked up the momentum again and caught it all up to take the lead at 17-11 in the 18th minute. Thalaivas continued to heat up and took a 21-13 half-time lead.

The Thalivas defense unit led by Captain Sagar tackled Maninder Singh in the opening minutes of the second half as the Tamil Nadu went on to dominate the match at 22-15. After that, Maninder put in a couple of great strikes, but Thalaivas held on to lead 24-20 in the 29th minute.

Narinder and Ajinkia Pawar helped the Tamil Nadu extend their lead after launching back-to-back raids, but moments later, Maninder pulled off a super-raid to keep the Warriors in the game at 25-27.

However, Narinder brought the momentum towards the Thalaivas side, soon after, with an impressive two-point raid. The superstar continued to rack up points as Tamil Nadu went on to lead 31-29 in the 38th minute.

The Warriors threatened to tie the score in the final two minutes, but Thalaivas pulled off a great tackle in the final minute of the game and eventually sealed the deal.
