Indian fans were desperately waiting for Jaspreet Bumrah to return to the team. While there hasn’t been any official information on Bumrah’s fitness, he may have shared a big update upon his return. Bumra tweeted a happy photo of him enjoying the sunset. The caption read: “Good times ahead.”

Team India Bumrah’s services missed out on the Asian Cup and T20 Globalism Glass. The scene wasn’t much different for the Indian fans either. There is no update on Bumrah’s comeback, but his latest post has certainly given Indian cricket fans a reason to cheer.

One Twitter user wrote that Bumrah is now all set to win the purple cap in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). “Purple cap in IPL load for pomera,” read the caption.

Another person shared a slightly different opinion and wrote, “Please skip the IPL because you missed the T20 World Cup due to injury. The ODI World Cup is coming and stay fit so, stay fit for the international matches, you will have plenty of time for these IPLs.”

One Twitter user wanted Boomra to make a comeback and lead India to win the World Cup next year.

The Gujarat-born cricketer recently shared a video of his intense training session on Instagram. In the video, Bumrah is seen doing several exercises at an indoor training facility. “It’s never easy, but it’s always worth it,” Bumrah wrote in the caption.

In the international circuit, Boom was last seen in action during the third T20I against Australia back in September. Bumrah was expected to feature in the next three-match T20I series against South Africa in October, but was ruled out of the competition due to a back injury.

In Bumrah’s absence, the Indian bowling attack lacked the firepower and experience of the Asian Cup and T20 World Cup. In the Asian Cup, India was eliminated from the tournament at the Super Four stage. India made it to the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup but the team led by Rohit Sharma failed to pick up a wicket in the fourth round match and suffered a humiliating 10-wicket defeat at the hands of eventual champions England.
